Call for Abstracts – Pressure Ulcer Summit 2026
We are delighted to invite abstract submissions for the Free Paper Session at the Pressure Ulcer Summit 2026. This session will highlight high-quality clinical, academic, and service-development work that advances the prevention, assessment, and management of pressure ulcers.
Abstracts are welcomed from all disciplines involved in pressure ulcer care, including (but not limited to) plastic and reconstructive surgery, spinal injury care, nursing, tissue viability, rehabilitation, geriatrics, orthopaedics, podiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and allied health professionals. Submissions may include clinical research, audit, quality improvement projects, service innovations, educational initiatives, or translational science relevant to pressure ulcer care.
All abstracts must be submitted in a structured format with the following headings:
Introduction
Methods
Results
Conclusions
The top three abstracts will be selected for the Free Paper Session and presented as oral presentations, each consisting of 5 minutes presentation time followed by 2 minutes of questions and discussion.

UK Tetrahand Meeting June 2023

It is our pleasure to invite you to the UK Tetrahand Meeting on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th June 2023, at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, UK.
This free 2-day event is aimed at rehabilitation doctors, therapists, and surgeons. The first day will focus on reconstructive surgery for the upper limb in tetraplegia and the second day on spasticity.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness of surgical options for tetraplegia, and to remove some of the barriers to this surgery in the UK.
There will be talks from international experts, workshops, demonstrations from our sponsors, as well as opportunities to network!

It is our pleasure to invite you to the Thames Valley & Wessex Deaneries Hand Surgery Conference which will take place on Wednesday the 25th of May 2022, 09:30 – 17:00 at the Jury’s Inn, Oxford. This event is a fantastic opportunity for us to get together, share experiences and advances in the region and learn from each other.
We invite all trainees to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations in any area of hand surgery. Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations. To submit, please email abstracts to stokemandevilleplastics@gmail.com no later than 5pm on Friday the 13th May 2022. Please include full names of all authors and institutions structure according to the format: Introduction, Methods, Results & Discussion and do not exceed 200 words.

Day 1: TBC| Stoke Mandeville Hospital
The first day is clinically focussed, hosted in Stoke Mandeville Hospital and followed by a dinner at Balliol College, Oxford. Day One will feature clinical talks and case-based discussions to stimulate thinking and generate high level discussions.
Day 2: TBC | The Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Oxford University
Day Two will be research-focussed and hosted at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, birthplace of anti-TNF therapy, at the University of Oxford. It will provide an update of the most prominent upper limb research projects going at Oxford, ranging from translational lab research to clinical trials.
